Inaugurated in Santa Ninfa the Municipal Villa.

Today, Friday, October 2nd,the Municipal Villa of Santa Ninfa has been inaugurated, That it is once again accessible to the citizens. After a brief presentation of the project VillaLab in the Council Room of the Municipality, the symbolic ribbon cutting took place,which officially reopened the Villa.

After months of hard work VillaLab achieves its goal, returning to the citizens a renovated and safe Villa. The result was made possible by the deep synergy between the municipal administration and the Angelo Pirrello Foundation,closely united in the project.

“We have won another challenge,” says Angelo Pirrello, founder of the Foundation of the same name. After bringing the Giro d’Italia to Santa Ninfa and after the success of the Green Learningproject, which involved the students of Belice with the aim of increasing greater environmental awareness, we have given new life to this place full of memories for everyone. I warmly thank the artisans, local associations and volunteers who welcomed the VillaLabproject, offering their professionalism to achieve the goal. The community of Santa Ninfa must be grateful to these fellow citizens, because without their contribution all this would not have been possible”.

“The administration – underlines mayor Giuseppe Lombardino – had set among its objectives the recovery of the historic Municipal Villa, which also has a symbolic value because it is linked to the memory of the older generations. This work of recovery is a kind of ideal bridge that connects those born before the earthquake with the new generations. The redeveloped Villa – adds the first citizen – will finally be a living space open to all, a public good returned to the enjoyment of citizens. The administration was very pleased to collaborate with the Pirrello Foundation, whose project it promptly married.”

Many novelties and many new spaces,designed for both adults and children. The citizens of Santa Ninfa will be able to relax, play sports and walk in the Villa surrounded by a unique panorama and rich in a wonderful local flora.
